S&S Connect hosted Exploring the Future of Crypto & Innovation at Celeste, SO/ Uptown Dubai, bringing together investors, founders, advisers and professionals shaping the next generation of digital finance.

The evening combined expert-led discussions with high-quality networking, giving guests the opportunity to explore how blockchain, digital assets and emerging technologies are changing global markets. Conversations covered institutional adoption, digital asset policy, stablecoins, sovereign investment and the future of blockchain-powered financial infrastructure.

The event featured four speakers with experience across finance, investment, regulation and technology:

Chirag Mehta - Institutional Partnerships Lead at Hedgit, a digital asset hedge fund, as well as a former adviser to the United Nations and mentor to the Harvard Web3 Accelerator.

Gustavo Montero - Chairman of blockchain advisory firm Carter Capital, former Head of Standard Chartered Bank Switzerland and an adviser on digital asset policy. He is also the co-founder of USDR Commodities, a gold-backed stablecoin platform.

Ahmed Refaie - Founder and CEO of DSRPTD.NET, a digital media platform covering blockchain and technology events, and host of the DSRPTD Summit. He also leads G.P.I. Global Partners Investments, specialising in sovereign asset allocation and blockchain investments.

Balba Broka - An experienced legal and strategic adviser supporting blockchain adoption and global digital asset initiatives. Her work has included roles with ZigChain, Zignaly and international organisations involved in shaping digital asset guidelines.

Throughout the evening, the speakers shared perspectives drawn from their work across traditional finance, institutional investment, blockchain policy and digital media. Guests were given a broader understanding of where the industry is heading, the challenges still facing adoption and the opportunities being created as digital assets become more closely connected with global finance.
